Tend to agree with you but I hope hey dont. I am starting to hate the Panthers like the evils and dogs. They'll most likely win because they're the only team that plays for 80 minutes. Andrew Johns said if the Sharks and Cowboys win the comp they would have to play their best and the Panthers a little under their best. He feels Sharks and Cowboys are the only teams that can beat Panthers. He also said Eels are too inconsistent.

I have to agree with Joey, Storm are gone and Sharks and Cowboys are really the only challenge to the throne that is the Panthers

There's always hope, but if I were a betting man I'd put money on another finals failure. Eels won't make top 4 so they'd have to win 4 games in a row for the premiership.

It is a lost cause. I wish they were saving there best but that dumbass of a coach has no idea. Based on their line up they would have to be the most under performing team in the comp. Management can't keep this going for another few years. A clean out needs to be done with the coach and several players. The spine needs to go!! Not doing enough in 80 minutes.

I dont even think they played for 80 mins in that game, if they did the score would have been more like 60-2

I dont even think they played for 80 mins in that game, if they did the score would have been more like 60-2 I thought it was embarrassing to watch. The Knights offered nothing, not even a line break. That game made the Eels look better than what they actually were.

the Knighs were quite pathetic and they were a top 8 team last season.

If they keep up this inconsistency maybe they will not make the 8 and the turd gets his marching orders. It might be the best thing that can happen.

Manly dealt another blow as star requests immediate release for mid-season switch A Manly star has reportedly requested an immediate release from his Sea Eagles contract, hoping to make a mid-season switch.
Tom Sargeant 3 min read July 29, 2022 - 5:39PM
NRL: The Penrith Panthers have confirmed Jarome Luai will miss the rest of the regular season and potentially the first week of Finals. Manly enforcer Martin Taupau has reportedly requested an immediate release from his contract to join a rival club.
According to The Daily Telegraph, the 32-year-old is set to sign with the Parramatta Eels, with the August 1 deadline looming.
Reports suggest the Eels have the salary cap space left to sign the Kiwi International and have until Monday to confirm any deal.

As it stands, Taupau is without a contract for the 2023 season, but a mid-season switch — permissible before August 1 — would likely see his 14-season NRL career extended.
Brad Arthur’s Eels will lose a number of big name players for the 2023 season including Marata Niukore, Isaiah Papali’I, Ray Stone, Oregon Kaufusi and Reed Mahoney — who are all forwards.
Taupau’s signature would bolster Parramatta’s pack and add experience to the Eels’ already impressive front row of Reagan Campbell-Gillard and Junior Paulo.

The Sea Eagles have been in the headlines following the decision of seven players to stand down because they refused to wear the club’s rainbow-trimmed pride jersey to represent members of the LGBTQIA community.
Hasler’s depleted side lost 20-10 against the Roosters on Thursday night, but Taupau delivered an impressive performance, running for 94 metres with four offloads and a tackle break.
However, the on-field performance took a back seat to all the drama that has unfolded during the week and sparked fierce debate among rugby league fans.
Asked after the match if Manly was united following the pride jersey saga, Hasler’s response was telling.
“Yes and we’ve got a bit of work to do,” he told reporters, revealing the week was “emotional on different aspects”.
“I’m just being honest, we’ve got a bit of work to do.
“But as long as we’re all sympathetic to each other’s cause, we’ll get there.”
Pressed further on whether he was referring to “work” on the football side of things or something greater, Hasler added: “Everything.”
Is the dressing room fractured? NRL PHOTOS Is the dressing room fractured? NRL PHOTOS There have been suggestions the pride jersey controversy could cause disharmony within the Manly dressing room, especially at such a crucial time of the season. Fighting desperately to make the finals, Thursday’s 10-point defeat could come back to haunt the Sea Eagles, who sit one spot outside the top eight — level on points with Canberra and the Dragons, who both have games to come this weekend.
Asked after the match about the changing nature of the sporting landscape and whether codes would be promoting more off-field messages in future, Manly captain Daly Cherry-Evans issued a warning to NRL bosses and clubs about trying to “make” players promote certain causes.
“I’d like to answer that. As a player I think we need to be really careful about how much we push onto the players to commercialise the game,” he said.
“If you look at a dressing room as an NRL squad, it is very diverse and it is very inclusive so I just wonder how much we need to do as athletes, I guess, to push out there.
“Because we already are a lot of things of what we’re trying to represent and what the club tries to make you represent. At some stage we have to understand that sport is pretty inclusive. It’s not perfect and it does have boundaries but I know from my time in the game it does represent a lot of the things we’re talking about tonight.
“But unfortunately when people get put in a position to have to do something they don’t want to do, then I think that’s when you see positions like tonight.”
