Who chose the team of the century? Wally Lewis was brilliant for Qld but as a player week to week I would take Brett Kenny everyday of the week. Sure I am biased but even if I didnt support the Eels I would still think that.

The Kangaroo tour to England in 1982 Lewis didnt play in any of the Tests it was all Kenny. Kangaroos went with Kenny also because Sterlo was the halfback. Those two were winning premierships at the time in the NSWRL. Lewis was playing in the BRL.

Good point but Kenny was always the better player and Lewis is an immortal and Kenny isnt.

Good point but Kenny was always the better player and Lewis is an immortal and Kenny isnt. Every Queenslander would vote Lewis and every Eels fan Kenny. But the experts if you can call them that say Lewis. Lewis dominated Origin and went on Kangaroo tours and also captained State and Country. But we never saw Lewis in the Sydney competition until 1988 when the Broncos joined and that was at the end of his career. There was talk about joining Balmain Tigers but it never happened. Queenslanders would disagree, but I don't think the BRL was in the same league as NSWRL.

BRL doesnt compare to NSWRL in any way. Most of the best from Brisbane played in the NSWRL.
Of course Qlders will back Lewis but the fact is that Kenny was better. The experts are far from experts I think. None of them question the flushing turd, that is enough proof for me.

Lewis and Miles were the last in 1988. Manly in the early 80s - Ribot, Boustead, Close and Vautin. Eels had Chris Phelan. The BRL was a decent competition for a small city, but Sydney was the premier capital city. NRL is the NSWRL + regional teams. BRL still has teams, but the crowds are non existent. Dolphins have now left and joined NRL.

What is the Dolphins groud like is it late 19th century standard? Very small. NRLW grand final was played there. Dolphins will play a number of home games at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane.

Not very far, I thought it maybe more. All the Brisbane teams are not far. Fortitude Valley is only one suburb away from Brisbane City. The Valley is Brisbane's Kings Cross. Sleazy clubs and pubs.

Kings Cross used to be a pretty fun place to go late at night but yes it was sleazy.
